Balanced Accounts & Bookkeeping Services (BABS) is a bookkeeping service that helps small to medium businesses with their bookkeeping needs and obligations. Our team, headed by Leonie Whitbread, is highly qualified and each member meets our standards when it comes to education, experience, testing and training, including:
⦁ Minimum of Cert IV in Finance-Bookkeeping
⦁ Minimum 5 years’ experience as a bookkeeper
⦁ Successfully completed skills and assessment program
⦁ All our bookkeepers are registered BAS agents.

Over the years, Leonie has owned and operated an express courier business, a newsagency and two successful bookkeeping businesses. With over 20 years’ experience as a business owner, she understands what small business needs. With this understanding comes her desire to help clients grow, have a firm handle on their business financial position and take the headache away from needing to worry about their bookkeeping responsibilities. Basically, Leonie wants to make sure that her clients get to do what they do best, while she looks after all of their bookkeeping needs.

General bookkeeping — we ensure all transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, supplier ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
Accounts payable — we organise your supplier payments to ensure you keep your great working relationships.
Accounts receivable — we code and receipt all funds that arrive into your account, to ensure you can track and chase those late payments.
Preparation of BAS and lodgement — we prepare your paperwork for BAS and lodge on time, every time, ensuring your compliance with ATO regulations.
Business setup and training — if you are a new business, we can offer you a helping hand to set up your accounts and provide training in how to manage your accounts.
Forensic/Investigative bookkeeping — when you suspect a staff member or a contractor is stealing from you, we can perform a complete investigation, also involving an accountant, to ensure we find discrepancies and help you find solutions.
